*** Helpdesk Holiday Hours ***

The IN helpdesk will close at 4:00 PM on the December 24th and 31st, and
reopen for usual business hours on December 26th and January 2nd. As
always, our network will be monitored and we intend to have staff on duty
on New Year's Eve as midnight approaches. We don't anticipate any
problems with our own equipment, but we can't be sure that something
upstream won't break. We have to admit we rather doubt there will be any
problems at all.

We wish you all the happiest Holidays ever! See you next year when the
millennium _really_ ends. :)

*** Annie's Jellies & Jams - Advertisement ***

Annies Jellies & Jams, a cottage industry, is
operated by Annie and Dave Kime, life-long residents
of the Sandhills of Nebraska. The Kime family has
enjoyed wild fruit jellies for years and it only
seemed natural to provide their wonderful flavors
to others. In 1994, Annies Jellies & Jams began
with 3 flavors and has expanded to over 12 varieties.
The wild fruit jellies are made from native berries
of the Sandhills. Using traditional home recipes,
Annie makes her quality gourmet products the old-
 fashioned way, in kettle-stirred batches.

*** Omaha Move ***

Within the next few weeks, Internet Nebraska's Omaha equipment will be
moving to a new location. This move will require some downtime for the
move of the lines and equipment and is tentatively scheduled for
Wednesday, December 29th, although we haven't yet received details from
the two telephone companies involved in the move. Another e-mail will be
sent to Omaha customers as the time draws closer and more details are
known.

This downtime will affect all of our Omaha customers, as well as customers
in the towns of O'Neill, Valentine, and Sioux City.

*** Lincoln Disk Copy ***

We'll be upgrading the hard disk array on our mail and login server
starting around 1:00 AM, Tuesday, December 21st. During the upgrade, all
services will be available except e-mail. Both incoming and outgoing mail
will be affected. All mail sent to our users will be received by IN and
available for download by morning.

The upgrade will last for several hours as e-mail is moved from old drives
to new ones.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

*** Mr. Internet ***

Q: My friends on the Internet just sent my these great games, Elf
Bowling and Frogapult. Now, I got another email saying that these are
time-delay viruses that will destroy my computer on Christmas! Is this
true?

A: No, this is simply someone's idea of fun. This games were written
by NVision Design ( http://www.nstorm.com ) and are safe to download and
play. Here is what their website says:

False Elf Bowling and Frogapult Virus Rumor

As you know, Frogapult and Elf Bowling are extremely popular games.
Unfortunately, riding on the coattails of this success, someone has
circulated a defamatory e-mail that these games contain viruses or Trojan
horses. This has lead to many inquiries from our customers and fans.

This e-mail is slanderous and false. No games we release contain any
virus or Trojan horse. NVision Design, the maker of NStorm games, is a
successful, profitable web design company with a very good reputation in
the industry. Our good name and reputation is associated with these games,
and we have nothing to gain whatsoever in any malicious act, other than
some possible jail time.

Virus Hoaxes are as prevalent as viruses themselves. Go straight to the
experts to read some interesting information about these hoaxes:

http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/hoax.html

Thank you for your interest in our NStorm games. We will continue to
provide many more entertaining games in the months to come, and we are
sorry for any inconvenience that this virus hoax may have caused you.

Sincerely,
Michael Bielinski
CEO / NVision Design, Inc.

Mr. Internet is a regular feature of the INews, and he welcomes questions
of any kind. Just mail them to mrinternet@inebraska.com, and he'll answer
one or two each issue. Those he doesn't use will not necessarily be
answered, and you should still use 'manager' and 'accounts' for regular
business.
