*** Annie's Jellies & Jams - Advertisement ***
Annies Jellies & Jams, a cottage industry, is
operated by Annie and Dave Kime, life-long residents
of the Sandhills of Nebraska. The Kime family has
enjoyed wild fruit jellies for years and it only
seemed natural to provide their wonderful flavors
to others. In 1994, Annies Jellies & Jams began
with 3 flavors and has expanded to over 12 varieties.
The wild fruit jellies are made from native berries
of the Sandhills. Using traditional home recipes,
Annie makes her quality gourmet products the old-
fashioned way, in kettle-stirred batches.

*** Working OFFline ***
E-mail is one of the most popular tools available on the Internet. Many
customers spend countless hours reading and writing e-mail, and could
greatly reduce the amount of time they're on-line by reading and writing
their e-mail while not connected to the Internet, and only connecting to
send outgoing mail and receive new mail. This saves connect fees and
frees up the customer's phone line while working with e-mail.
Here's a short synopsis on how to use the off-line mail reading and
writing functions in MS Outlook Express. Most other mail readers have
similar functions, check the documentation for your e-mail program on how
to do this.
You can open the Outlook Express program by double clicking on the icon on
your desktop with your left mouse button. If the program does attempt to
dial a connection, just click on the cancel button. Once the Outlook
Express program is open and running you need to hit Ctrl-N or click on the
choice from the top menu bar "compose" and select New Message to compose a
new message. This will bring up a new window in which you can type your
letter. Type the letter as you normally do, ensuring you have put the
address in the "to" field. After you are done writing your letter click
on the "send" button found in the upper left hand corner. This will put
your message in your outbox. If you want to write more letters just
repeat the process.
If you want to reply to a message you received, click on the message in
the upper viewing window that shows the date, subject and who the letter
is from. With the message highlighted click on the icon, identified as
reply. If your are not sure what an icon is used for just let your mouse
pointer sit over it for a moment and a small box will come up and tell
you. After you choose "reply" a new window will appear that will have a
copy of your received message. At this point you can edit the message by
deleting or adding text. Once you have made any necessary corrections
choose the send button like before with a new message. Once again this
will put the message in your outbox.
Once you have written all your messages that you want to send and set them
in your in outbox, you need to minimize your Outlook Express program.
You minimize the program by clicking on the small minus sign in the upper
right hand corner of your Outlook Express program.
Now log on like you normally do and once you are connected, open up
Outlook Express and hit the send and receive button. You should see your
messages you wrote go out, and any new messages you have will download to
your computer.
You can also compose long messages offline if you're using the new
Internet Nebraska Web Mail. To do so, compose your messages in a text
editor such as Notepad, Wordpad, or Windows Write. After your messages
are complete, connect to the Internet, open Web Mail, and paste your text
into the compose window. Voila, instant off-line composition for the Web
Mail program. (You can also use this method for other Web-based e-mail
programs such as Hotmail and Yahoo! Mail.)

*** Short Downtime ***
Internet Nebraska is planning a maintenance window Tuesday, November 9th,
beginning at 12:01AM and extending until 6:00AM. During this time frame,
there is the possibility of short and sporadic downtimes of multiple
services as servers are rearranged and wiring re-done in the Internet
Nebraska Network Operations Center. If you have trouble logging on or
accessing a specific service during this time, please try again in a few
minutes.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

*** Time Travel! ***
The greatest scientific quest in the history of mankind is underway.
Learn how you can experience the excitement, discovery and adventure as
the pursuit of time travel races on!
I'd tell you'all about this quirky web site but there isn't enough time.
Heh. :) Time-travel.com contains all you'll ever need to know about time
and time travel. Here you'll find a thorough introduction to several
definitions of time, the physics, history and philosophy related to time
and an extensive list of time-related resources from science to fiction
and beyond.
There are Discussion Groups, Experiments, a special Members-Only area and
a Time Shop where you can purchase books, movies, audio tapes and more
from the world's "largest time travel store."
Make sure you try out the Search feature. If you enter the word 'time'
you get a rather extensive list of subjects. Missing from the list is any
mention of one of my all-time favorite TV sitcoms, "It's About Time" with
Joe E. Leonard and Imogene Coca. Astronauts circle the Earth and somehow
land in the distant past and are taken in by a Cave Man clan. All I can
remember from the theme song is, "It's about time, it's about space, about
two men in the strangest place..."
You can be sure that I'm going to fire off an e-mail to
letters@time-travel.com requesting a streaming video section, as soon as I
find the time. But I gotta go now. Talk to ya later.
